CFFi Newsletter - June 2012

The call to prayer for our nation went out for the National Day of Prayer on May 3rd across our nation.  The preparations for this day are an ongoing process that I have been privileged to participate in for the last twenty years.

As the western states National Area Leader for the National Day of Prayer Task Force, a good part of this past year has been involved in recruiting, training and praying for new state coordinators in Washington, Alaska, Hawaii and California.  While some of the training has been through annual conferences and conference calls, in California Doris Force, the CA State Coordinator, and I teamed up for personal group training sessions with many new and experienced NDP coordinators.  This May I participated in the capitol event in Salem, Oregon where the NDP leadership is also going through a transition.

This year was my last year as part of the official leadership team of the NDP Task Force, although I will continue to work with NDP on local events.   Doris Force will be taking over the responsibilities as western states coordinator where I served the last four years.  We ask for your prayers for a smooth transition as she moves into leadership and as I move on.

So, you’re probably wondering, “what’s Joe going to be doing? What’s the next prayer mobilization season going to look like for him?”  Ok, I’m so glad you asked.

Currently I am helping with the prayer mobilization and counseling efforts of the Luis Palau Festival in Sacramento on June 16-17 at the California State Fair Grounds.

I will continue to maintain ministry blogsites, including CCNewsPortal.com, Facebook.com/praythenews and the CapitolFellowship.org.  I will be participating with our CaliforniaCapitolIntercessors.blogspot.com ministry, headed up by Betsie Rocci.  We have teams praying daily at the Capitol with monthly prayer training also at the Capitol.  I will also continue in leadership in local prayer summits and city prayer gatherings as well as networking with state and national prayer ministries.

Finally, I am looking forward to mentoring prayer and business leaders for Kingdom of God vision - the practical aspects of walking out Jeremiah 29:7

These are troubling and exciting days ahead for the middle east and the U.S.A with its economic instability.  But it is the LORD who is our  Shelter and Provider.  May the He grant you and your family a great portion of His satisfying “daily bread”.

Prayerfully and gratefully for you.  Joe and Dianne Walsh
